Dress up Masks

Materials

fun foam or paper
craft stick or ribbon
feathers
decorations
scissors
glue
marker or pen

  1. Choose a shape for your mask or draw your own shape. Print and cut out the Dress Up Mask pattern of your choice, or make up your own pattern.pattern for mask
  2. Trace the mask pattern on the fun foam or paper.
  3. Fold the fun foam in half without making a crease in the center of the fun foam.
  4. Cut along the pattern lines for the outside of the mask. Use the scissors to make a small hole in the center of the one of the eyes. Cut out the holes for the eyes.
  5. Lay out the different materials for decorating your mask. Try different designs. You may want to cut fun foam or paper shapes or feathers.
  6. Use a glue stick or tacky glue to stick the decorations to your mask. Glue the stick on to hold the mask. Or make two small holes and tie a piece of ribbon to each side of the mask.

Hints:

  • Be sure to check the eye holes.  You might want to check the right location before cutting, and then again after to make sure there is good visibility through the holes.
