Pop Bottle Vase

Materials
clean, empty bottle
scissors or utility knife
glue
stickers, markers, paint, ribbons

use the utility knife to cut off the bottom of the pop bottle.
turn the bottom so the cut side is down and then glue the top of the cap to the flat part of the bottom (see picture )
while the glue is drying, use the utility knife to cut the sides of the bottle into strips
screw the bottle into the cap to make the vase.
decorate the vase using stickers, paint, markers, ribbon sequins and anything else you have around.

Tips

For young children, prepare the bottles the night before and then put them out for the children to decorate.
If the vase has trouble standing up, glue or tape a heavy weight into the bottom of the vase.
