No Dye Easter Eggs

Kids love to make Easter eggs, but it can be messy craft with all the different bowls of inks to color the eggs. Here's a childrens craft idea to use tissue paper to provide the colors for the Easter eggs. It's lots of fun, much less messy, and the kids will love their finished Easter Eggs.

Materials

Eggs (white work best)
Craft Tissue Paper
Water
Scissors

  1. easter egg with spots of colorHard boil the eggs and let cool.
  2. Have the children cut or tear tissue paper into small pieces. Don't forget to check your art supplies for different colors of tissue paper.
  3. Use water to stick the tissue paper to the eggs. Allow to dry.
  4. When dry, the children can remove the tissue paper to see the colors and patterns on their Easter eggs.

Note - tissue paper for gift wrapping will not work in this project.  The coloring in craft tissue paper transfers easily to the egg.
