How to make Hollow Eggs

Hard boiled eggs are easy with young children, but older children may enjoy the challenge of creating lasting craft masterpieces.

Hollow eggs are more delicate, but the finished eggs create a beautiful craft project that can be kept for years.

Wash and dry the egg.
Use a large pin or darning needle to poke a small hole in one end of the egg. Then make a slightly larger hole in the opposite end.
Hold a bowl or large glass under the end with the larger hole. Put the end with the small hole to your lips and blow.
Once all the egg is out of the shell, gently rinse the inside of the shell with water to clean it out.
Let dry before decorating.

Hints:

If you are having trouble blowing out the egg, make the large hole a bit bigger (about 1/4 of an inch or 1/2 cm works fairly well).
After poking the holes - use a smaller needle to poke the yolk apart so that it blows out easily
