"Every year I
have had the kids make a gift for their parents (my kids make them
for family as well). Usually something with handprints, footprints
or something that they can look back on and remember.
This year we
used Sculpey clay and rolled it about 1/4 inch thick, cut out into
BIG stars, poked a hole with a straw and put a handprint on each
star. I dried them, spray painted them with glitter spray paint, and
the kids will string a ribbon through the hole so their parents can
use them as an ornament. It was cute and not too expensive."
Thank you to one of our visitors for sending in
this idea.
Hints:
Use one of the baked dough recipes
if you don't have any Sculpey.
Make your own shapes, rather than the star.
