white paper, paint
(black, brown, and red), and a small child
Directions
Paint the bottom on one of your child's feet brown and then have him
or her step on the paper.
It can take several tries to get a good footprint.
The child needs to step straight down and straight up.
Clean up the foot.
Paint hands black (we used
blue in the picture) and put hand prints to either
side of the heel area on the footprint. The hands make the
antlers.
Black fingerprints for eyes
and a red thumb print for a nose!
Carla, who sent in this idea, says:
'My son Luchin and I made hand and
foot reindeer last year and this year my daughter Darbi will make
her one too! He loved doing this...Mom made a mess! We left these
with the cookies and milk for Santa and his reindeer. '
